THE SCIENCE BEHIND SKIN
Collagen makes up 70 to 80 percent of skin’s dry weight and gives it its mechanical and structural integrity. Collagen decreases as we age, with the process beginning in our twenties. The decrease in collagen causes skin to become thinner and vulnerable to damage.
Elastin is one of the most abundant proteins in our body. It’s a stretchy protein that resembles a rubber band. Like collagen, as we age, we lose elastin. Eventually, skin becomes paper thin and easily crumples, wrinkles, and bruises.
Yuvan research story
Yuvan is a biotechnology company specializing in skin longevity. The Yuvan team was inspired by the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard's results of the GHK-Cu peptide and worked hard for years to create NEEL gel that permeates deep to rejuvenate skin. NEEL stimulates blood vessel and nerve outgrowth, increases collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, and supports the function of dermal fibroblasts.
Yuvan's scientists have dedicated themselves to the reversal of aging and have been successful in reversing signs of ageing by an average of 54 percent.
Proven results that you’ll love
NEEL’s IRB-approved human clinical trial was conducted by Professor of Dermatology of Royal Victoria Hospital, McGill University, with 21 volunteers. Volunteers saw, on average, a 28 percent increase in collagen after three months.
